Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SIMBAP mobile app and website and the eSIM data plans sold through them. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
SIMBAP sells prepaid, data-only eSIM plans for use in Korea. Plans include data only. They do not include a phone number, voice calls, or SMS. Tethering/hotspot is allowed unless a plan says otherwise. Network coverage and speed depend on our network partners and your location.
2. Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab.
3. Device compatibility
You need an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device. The compatibility hint in the app is only a guide. Check your device before buying. You can dial *#06# — if an EID is shown, your device supports eSIM.
4. Plans, prices and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars and may change. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
- Payment is processed by PayPal. Your purchase is confirmed after PayPal captures the payment.
- Unlimited plans are subject to fair use. Speed may be reduced after heavy use to protect network quality for everyone.
5. Delivery and installation
After payment, your eSIM appears in My eSIM. Some eSIMs may show “Preparing” for a short time until they are issued. Install the eSIM by following the in-app steps, preferably over Wi-Fi. Install it only on the device you will use, because an eSIM cannot be moved to another device after installation.
6. Validity
Each plan has a validity period (for example 5, 10 or 30 days) and a data amount. The plan ends when either the validity period passes or the data runs out, whichever comes first. Unused data does not carry over and is not refundable after the plan ends.
7. Refunds
- You can request a refund from the eSIM details screen if the eSIM has not been installed or used.
- We review each request and reply by email. Approved refunds are returned to your original PayPal payment, and the eSIM is then marked Refunded and can no longer be used.
- Refunds are generally not available for eSIMs that have been installed or have used data, for plans that have expired, or for problems caused by an incompatible or locked device. If the service does not work because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will fix it or refund you.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use SIMBAP for anything illegal, to harm networks or other users, to resell plans without our permission, or to attempt to interfere with or gain unauthorized access to the service. We may suspend or end accounts or eSIMs that break these rules.
9. Service availability
We work to keep SIMBAP available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Mobile coverage depends on third-party networks outside our control. We may change or stop parts of the service, and we will tell you in advance when a change significantly affects plans you already bought.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, SIMBAP is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or loss of profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to a plan is limited to the amount you paid for that plan. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using SIMBAP after the change, you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.
13. Contact
For questions, refunds or problems, send an inquiry from Support in the SIMBAP app. See also our Privacy Policy.
